A New Generation of Engine Counterbalance Forklifts

The TCM FD/FGE15-35(C)-E3 range is designed for businesses that require dependable lifting performance in environments where electric forklifts may not be practical.

The series includes both diesel and LPG counterbalance forklift models, with lifting capacities ranging from 1.5 to 3.5 tonnes.

Diesel models include:

  • FD20-E3 – 2.0 tonne capacity
  • FD25-E3 – 2.5 tonne capacity
  • FD30-E3 – 3.0 tonne capacity
  • FD35-E3 – 3.5 tonne capacity

LPG models extend the range even further, starting from 1.5 tonnes and reaching up to 3.5 tonnes, giving operations flexibility depending on their fuel preference and application requirements.

These trucks are built around three chassis sizes and multiple mast options, allowing operators to tailor the machine to their environment while maintaining stable handling and lifting performance.

For LPG models, the trucks are equipped with industrial engines from GCT (Global Components Technologies), a leading manufacturer of LPG power units. These engines use electronically controlled combustion systems to optimise fuel consumption while maintaining reliable performance.

Model Year 2026 Updates

The new generation of FD/FGE forklifts introduces several updates designed to improve operator experience, safety, and operational efficiency.

New Digital Meter Panel

The updated display panel increases screen size by around 40%, improving visibility and access to key information during operation.

Integrated functions include:

  • high/low speed selection
  • power and soft drive modes
  • load zero reset
  • Bluetooth connectivity

This interface allows technicians and operators to connect wirelessly with service tools using a smartphone or computer.

Improved Engine Functionality

For LPG models, several new functions help protect the engine and improve reliability.

These include:

  • LPG low fuel engine derate, which reduces engine speed when fuel pressure drops
  • Low fuel start interlock, preventing the engine from starting if the LPG level is too low

These features help prevent misfires, reduce potential engine damage, and extend service life.

Optional functions such as engine auto stop further improve fuel efficiency by shutting down the engine automatically if the truck is idle.

Operator Comfort and Ergonomics

Productivity in material handling depends heavily on operator comfort. The FD/FGE series has been designed with an ergonomic operator compartment that supports safe and efficient working throughout the shift.

Key features include:
